This approach was developed in the 1980s by the human sciences and later adapted for the management context.
The necessity arose from the complex and sometimes contradictory requirements that managers had to and still must meet in their daily work. A fundamental contradiction is that companies, public administrations and social institutions are structured and organised according to logical-rational principles.
However, when carrying out their tasks and making decisions, its members are guided by more human and less logical aspects, such as their values, personal or group interests, beliefs, feelings, etc.
